SK April DT Challenge

Welcome the the Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Challenge Blog Hop. We're so happy to have you hop along with us as we inspire you with our creations for this month's challenge. Normally Kristy would be kicking off the hop but unfortunately she is under the weather so this month I'm your first stop!

For April, our challenge is to create any Easter or spring project using any SK files. You can share it with us by posting it on our Facebook Fan Page HERE, or in the SK Facebook Group HERE. You must have your project posted and linked no later than 12 am May 1, 2013.

One challenge winner will receive a $15 GC to shop with in the Scraptastical Kreations Store.

And for hopping along with us one lucky winner will receive a $10 GC to shop with at the Scraptastical Kreations store. To be eligible to win the hop candy:
  • Leave a comment on each blog.
  • "Like" the SK Facebook page and say hi from the hop.
  • You don't have to become a follower of each blog to win this prize but we'd love it if you did! One winner will be picked on Sat. April 6 so you have plenty of time to hop through and comment!
Easy breezy, right? and keep your eyes peeled, some of the girls will be offering their own candy as well!

Just in case you get lost along the way, here is the complete line up:

Tami
Shana
Raquel

For my project this month I made up a spring flower arrangement. I was playing around with some of the flowers one afternoon and came up with the stems of forsythia (yellow flowers) and my son suggested they would make good hyacinths too, and I think they do (the pink flowers). I added some purple flowers which sort of resemble crocuses.

The flowers and leaves are all from "Fancy Flowers". I hand cut a few long leaves to look like the leaves on a hyacinth. The pot is from "Bloom Where Your Planted". I cut out 2 of them and attached to either side of a box made from Silhouette. The butterflies are from "KISS - Spring".
Additional Supplies:
Recollections and DCWV papers
Really Reasonable Ribbons
Stickles
Floral wire and tape
Floral Styrofoam, moss
Stamens purchased from Ebay

If you'd like to see how I made the forsythia flowers click here for my latest instructional video!

In keeping with the spring flower theme I have a pair of flower-shaped earrings for one lucky winner! They are silver-tone flower-shaped with pink cat's eye and Swarovski crystal on a sterling lever back. They hang approx. 1 5/8".
To win these sweet little earrings:

  • Visit and like my Facebook page
  • Leave me a comment here and on Facebook
  • One lucky winner will be picked Thursday April 4 and announced on my Facebook page!

Now, it's off to Cathie's blog to see her fabulous project for this month's challenge.

Thank you so much for hopping along with us. We hope you've been inspired to join in on the challenge, we can't wait to see what you create!

  11. Hi Nancy,
I saw your post in Lorby's World of Sharing and had to stop by. I just love your flowers. I thought they were real at first. Great job! The earrings are beautiful also. I love any type of dangle earring since I have long hair. Hugs from Jearise AKA Lorby.
