The Magical Life Of Fairies Blog Hop 7-17-12

Welcome to our Blog Hop, The Magical Life of Fairies. If you have arrived here from Colleen then you're in the right place. If you've just happened upon my page and would like to start at the beginning then head over to Pamela. What little girl doesn't dream of carrying a fairy in her pocket? They are so tiny and amazing with their beautiful wings and long pretty hair...this is what comes to mind when I think of fairies. Today we have a lot of talented women that want to show off their beautiful fairies that they created so please join the party and fly around with us!

Here is the line-up in case you get lost along the way:

Nancy (you're here)
Miriam (flying off to next)

We have some wonderful Blog candy! The Scrapbook Stamp Society has agreed to sponsor the hop and will offer $12 worth of FREE fairy related digis as a prize for this hop. All you have to do is visit every blog and leave a comment. We would sure love it if you would start following our blogs too.

And now onto my project! This is something I've had in mind to make for a while so I am very grateful this hop came along to give me the incentive to get it done. My project today is a Tooth Fairy Box, to hold all of my son's lost teeth. When he was 5 and lost his first tooth he was very sad that he would never see it again so together we wrote the Tooth Fairy a note and asked her if she could leave his tooth instead of taking it away with her and the Tooth Fairy being the sweet and loving fairy she is, agreed and has left each tooth since. I created this beautiful box to keep his precious little teeth in forever so that none will be lost.

Side view of the box with the first half of the poem

I added Perfect Pearls to the teeth to make them "POP"

I added the tooth onto this beautiful fairy's dress, then filled it with Perfect Pearls for a realistic look.

Monica's Creative Challenge #11 Anything Goes

For this Cameo Creation Challenge I'm sharing a notepad I made, with inspiration from Pinterest. My favorite color is purple and I just happened to have some purple printer paper which I cut into 4ths, cut cardstock to size, stacked it all together, held it together with binder clips and glued the top edge. I fancied the cover up a bit with some shapes from Scraptastical Kreations and a couple stick pins I made. The possibilities are endless for this cute notepad, they would make great teacher's gifts, stocking stuffers, or I may just make one for every room in the house to help me with my feeble memory, lol.

Recipe:
Colored printer paper
Recollections cardstock and printed paper
Scraptastical Kreations ~ "Label It, Tag It, Frame It" set
2 corsage pins, assorted beads from my overflowing stash
