My First Instructional Video! How I make Paper Roses

I've had requests to show my process for how I make the paper roses I use so often in my crafts. Here it is! This is the first time I've done one of these so please keep that in mind. :o I hope you like it. I'll be working on the next one this week ~ how to stem flowers.

The tools and mat are from McGill. I found the best price on Amazon when I bought them. The paper I used in this flower is Recollections 65 lb cardstock but I've used every thickness cardstock, even textured to make flowers. The thicker the paper the harder to roll but they hold the shape very well. Feel free to ask any questions! Thanks for watching! :)

Since February is the month of hearts, we are all making a project with a heart on it. I have some Valentine's cards to share with you for my heart projects plus some sweet gifts I made for my son's teachers. Here's the first one:

Each lucky teacher also received a different color rose that I made for them.

This cute little heart shaped card went out to another teacher with a yellow rose. I used some Glossy Accents on the eyes of the Peachy face to make them pop. According to my son his teacher was "exploding with joy" when he gave it to her! In the picture below are the roses I made for all 4 of his teachers. They're all wrapped up and ready to go! The other 2 cards have already been posted on my FB page, stop by, check them out and say hi!

Materials:

Cutting files from Scraptastical Kreations

Peachy Keen stamps
Sakura white Gelly Roll pen
Glossy Accents
Twine
Assorted papers from my stash
Stickles
Really Reasonable Ribbon
Colorbox Inks

Valentine Easel card

Hello there!! Today I have a fun card to share with you, it's a Valentine easel card. To make the easel I cut a piece of card stock 5" x 10", scored it in the center then on one half score it outer corner to inner corner. When you adhere your front cover just use the bottom right corner triangle, then when you open the card, fold the front down and you can push it back and make it stand up, voila!

Materials used:
Cutting files from Scraptastical Kreations
KISS-Love Me Tender, Element Me This, and keep an eye out for the vase arriving in the store as a freebie soon!!
Paper - Recollections, DCWV
Various chalks and inks
Really Reasonable Ribbon
